FLUDEX FLUID COUPLING
In particularly demanding applications, drive components and processing machines are subjected to extreme loads. FLUDEX® couplings limit the starting and maximum torque in the drive system and serve as starting aids for the motor and overload protection in the event of an accident. They also minimize restoring forces by damping and decoupling rotary oscillations. Fluid couplings operate according to the Föttinger principle. The coupling parts on the input and output side are not mechanically connected and are therefore wear-free. The torque is transmitted by the fluid movement in the coupling, which is accelerated by the radial vanes. Our film shows the Föttinger principle and the operating principle of the FLUDEX coupling.
