ROLLING MILL GEARBOXES
Compared to other users of drive engineering, the steel industry offers an almost unparalleled variety of gear types. And the requirements for these gears are often much more complex and diverse than in other sectors. Our gear units can be found throughout the metallurgical process chain – from rollers, forging machines and presses to strip processing and tube production. These processes process materials such as steel, aluminium, copper, brass, iron and iron alloys and non-ferrous metals. Given these challenging operating conditions, we use a particularly robust, thick-walled design for our gear units, which ensures high process reliability.
MILL GEARBOXES
Our mill gear units are used for grinding cement, coal, gypsum, limestone, mineral aggregates, clinker and clay. For these applications, we offer conventional bevel-helical gear units as well as more compact bevel-planetary gear units. Our mill gear units are manufactured using a heavy-duty, industrial design that makes them particularly robust and vibration-free. Each unit is equipped with an individually adjusted oil supply system to ensure optimum service life.
SPECIAL PRODUCTION GEARBOXES
Every industrial application presents its own challenge. We excel in the development of special drives that are customized to suit the specific physical conditions that apply to industrial plants. Examples of past projects here include special gear units for metal fabric machine tools and cable twisting machines, spindle gear units for boom gears, cutting head gear units for mining, gearboxes for cooling tower technology, gearboxes for mixing and kneading technology, gearboxes for the rubber and plastics industry, gearboxes for process engineering and many more.
